(Parañaque City, May 20, 2016) – The Redemptorists of Baclaran have come out with a set of literary, artistic, photography, and musical contests as a special way of marking 150 years of making Our Mother of Perpetual Help known.
The contests are open to all devotees, whether amateur or professional, whose original entries can expound on the theme “Deboto-misyonero: Daluyan at Awa at Pag-ibig ng Ina ng Laging Saklolo.”
The prizes and deadline of submission for each contest are as follows:
Poetry-writing (English/Filipino) – June 8
- 1st place – Php 6,000
- 2nd place – Php 4,000
- 5 consolation prizes – Php 1,000 each
Essay-writing (English/Filipino) – June 8
- 1st place – Php 5,000
- 2nd place – Php 3,000
- 3rd place – Php 2,000
- Grand prize – Php 10,000
- 10 consolation prizes – Php 1,000 each
- 1st place – Php 25,000
- 2nd place – Php 15,000
- 3rd place – Php 10,000
- 1st place – Php 10,000
- 2nd place – Php 7,000
- 3rd place – Php 5,000
- 3 consolation prizes – Php 2,000 each
Except for the painting competition where participants must be at least 18 years old to join, the organizers impose no age limit.
