(St. Lucia) The Redemptorist Parish, the Parish of Our Lady of Assumption in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia (West Indies) recently held a prayer march for peace and an end to violence, in response the murders of four young adults who were killed within a two week period. Between 80 and 100 people joined the prayer march, which was led by Fr. Kevin Murray C.Ss.R. and the Redemptorist community, as they walked throughout the town in song and prayer, stopping and praying at the homes of the four victims’ families.
The message of the event was that prayer is mightier than the gun.
