Commemorating the feast of St. Clement Hofbauer, considered the second founder of the Congregation, was a delight for the Mater Domini Novitiate community in the Vice Province of Nigeria (below). Confreres, families and members of the worshipping community gathered to celebrate the liturgy, during which seven novices were clad with a Redemptorist habit for the first time. It was an awesome celebration, and they are now prayerfully looking forward to their first profession. The six Nigerians and one Ghanian novices vested (above) include: Franklin Osinachi Ogu, Gabriel Elemuo Nnamdi, Pedro Nwachukwu Nnadozie, Christopher Iwuorie Chidiebere, John Ologunagba Olumiyiwa, Henry Oforkansi Chibuzor and Gabriel Dabo-Gyamfi.
We wish them continued success in their Redemptorist formation.
Fr. Philip Obasi
Secretary, Vice Province of Nigeria
