The third day of the Congress of the 150th anniversary of the Icon, was dedicated to the contemplation and prayer.
The morning began in the Sanctuary of the Perpetual Help of Madrid with a prayer guided by the confreres of Byzantine rite present in the Congress, followed by a special moment of contemplation of the Icon led by Fr Metod, Redemptorist of the Vice Province of Michalovse , and a time of personal prayer for all members of Congress in front of the Icon of Mother of Perpetual Help.
A second important moment on this day was the presentation of devotion to our Mother of Perpetual Help in the Provinces of Dublin, Warsaw, Rome, St. Clement, Lviv, Vienna-Munich and Prague-Bratislava. It has been very enriching to witness the expressive richness of the devotion of our people manifested in the celebration of novenas, pilgrimages, social projects, visits to families … that make possible for Mary to continue to encourage the Redemptorist mission.
The celebration of the Eucharist was presided by our confreres in the Byzantine rite, and Fr Jacek Zdrzałek, Coordinator of the Conference of Europe, preached the homily.
In the silence of the night, we met at the Shrine to end the day with a precious prayer in which we remember all the confreres and faithful of our Units of Europe.
