Today, June 26, about 26 Redemporists from the Conferences of Africa, Asia-Oceania, and North America gathered in Rome to begin the English-speaking course in Redemptorist spirituality. Led by Fr Piotr Chyla, CSsR, the Director of the Redemptorist Spirituality Center in Rome and George Puthenpura, CSsR, the Assistant Director, the confreres will spend three weeks studying key insights in Redemptorist spirituality and visiting the Alphonsian sights in Rome and points south. In addition to the lectures offered by members of the General Government and professors of the Alphonsian Academy, the confreres will share insights into how the Redemptorist charism is lived in their particular Provinces, Vice Provinces, and Regions. Their experience will be enriched by the daily celebration of the Eucharist, a visit to the Catacombs of St. Callistus, and the opportunity to attend a Papal audience. The places to be visited include: Frosinone, Scifelli, Scala, Ciorani, St. Agatha of the Goths, Naples, Mater Domini, Pagani and Marianella.
