The Preparatory Meeting for the XI European Redemptorist Youth Meeting took place in Granada and in Madrid (Spain) from 12 to 16 July 2017.
43 participants from 14 countries (among them Consultor General Pedro Lopez, Provincial of Madrid Province Jose Luis Bartolome, Coordinator of the CRE Jacek Zdrzalek , President of the Youth Commission of the CRE Piotr Sulkowski) were preparing the details of the next European Youth Meeting which will be held from 25 to 29 July 2018 in Granada, Spain. The slogan of the meeting will be: “All together”.
The participants shared experiences about Youth Ministry Programmes from their own countries and they planned the various aspects of the future encounter.
Every Redemptorist Unit in Europe will start special preparation for this European Meeting at the level of their Units soon, with a special prayer, catechesis and formation.
The European Redemptorist Youth Meetings started in 1987 in Pagani in Italy, the inspiration of the then Superior General Fr. Juan Lasso de la Vega.
These European meetings give an opportunity for the encounter for young people from different countries, cultures and languages to learn how they can work together, pray together and evangelise together.
