(Lviv, Ukraine) The Province of Lviv organized a course about popular missions on February 15-22, 2018, a course for Confreres and the Missionary Sisters of the Most Holy Redeemer who work in Ukraine since 2001. The course took place in the retreat house of the province in Yaremche, Ukraine.
Intensive workshops and lectures were given by Fr. Andrzej Makowski CSsR, Ph. D, Prefect of the ‘Tirocinium Pastorale’ of the Province of Warsaw.The participants of the course could learn more about the history and theology of the popular missions, typology of sermons. They also worked out their own proposals for sermons, based on different biblical texts. The participants discussed the uniqueness and actuality of the parish missions and their renewal in Ukraine, as well.
Sr. Antonia remarked: “In this beautiful time of the course I could experience with my heart the rich experience of the Redemptorists in the field of the missions and evangelization and I learned many practical skills. I am convinced that I will use the knowledge to proclaim the mystery of Redemption among our people, who need it and I will do this with courage at all places, where God will send me in the future”.
