(Denver, USA) A snowstorm that dumped seven inches of snow at the Redemptorist Retreat Centre delayed the start of the Extraordinary Visitation of the North American Conference on Monday 16th of April, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the confreres gathered in Oconomowoc. Provincial Superior Stephen Rehrauer and Provincial Vicar John Fahey Guerra warmly welcomed Br. Jeffrey Rolle, General Consultor, and Fr. Jack Kingsbury, North American Conference Coordinator, to the Denver Province.
Six more inches of snow fell from the skies during the week. The weather delighted some confreres from the South, but was most intriguing to Fr. Chakrit Micaphitak, newly arrived from Thailand to minister to refugees from Myanmar and the Hmong community in Milwaukee, who had never experienced snow.
Br. Jeffrey presented a reflection to launch the first Extraordinary Visitation of the North American Conference. The Extraordinary Visitation team will travel across North America to meet with Redemptorist confreres during the remainder of the year:
