The first of four Extraordinary Visitation of the General Government in India began on 16th April 2018 at 2.30 p.m. at Navinta Retreat House, New Delhi is concluded today. There were 45 participants from the Province of Bangalore, from the Province of Liguori and from the Vice-Province of Majella along with the Consultor General Fr. Sebastian C. Ss. R. and the Asia Oceania Conference Coordinator Fr. Ben Ma C. Ss. R.

The Visitation went on for five days, till today, 20th April 2018. On the first day it was an orientation program. The second day we had a day of recollection on the sexennial theme of the General Government. On the third day both Fr. Sebastian and Fr. Ben Ma presented the decisions of the General Chapter. The Apostolic and restructuring plan of the General Chapter was discussed in detail on the fourth day. All these days of work was gathered and synthesized on the fifth day.

The Visitation ended with the Eucharist on the last day. The whole process was well organized and coordinated. We had the chance of discussing the topics in small groups and in the common forum. The moderators Frs. Sebastian and Ben Ma were well informed about the happenings in the Congregation. Both were very crisp and clear in explaining the concepts. It helped all of us to grasp the current state of the Mission and the vision of the General Chapter for the mission. I hope and pray that the goals of the visit are achieved for the good of the Units and in a long run for the good of the Congregation.

Fr. Antony Frank C. Ss. R.
