Marianella – Atyra, Paraguay, from 2 to 6 June 2018
We are a family! The Redemptorist missionaries of Paraguay welcomed the Redemptorist family, the brothers and sisters from different countries, institutes and congregations; We are happy with the fraternal presence of Fr Rogerio Gomes (Consultor General) and Fr Marcelo Araujo (Conference Coordinator).
We are so happy to remember once again that we drink from the same spirituality, which generates different charisms to make the mission more effective. However, we are sure that a charism alone does not meet all the needs and challenges of our Church and of the world, and therefore we are aware of the importance of working together.
We know that the restructuring process in the Congregation is providential and encourages us to a sincere conversion to renew our structures at the service of the mission in terms of inter-congregationality; that is: letting ourselves be led by the Holy Spirit, letting ourselves be guided beyond the confines of our congregations, promoting the communion of our charisms, living interculturality; all at the service of the kingdom of God, where life cries out.
Beyond the theological reflection, our intention is to propose concrete steps that make shared dreams real, because a family is not just a concept, it is built, cared for and nourished every day.
We make the call of Pope Francis our own: “Let us not let them rob us: our missionary enthusiasm, the joy of evangelization, hope, community, the Gospel, the ideal fraternal love, the missionary strength”. E. Gaudium n. 80-109
