(Minburi, Thailand) The Finance Secretariat for the Conference of Asia Oceania met in Minburi, Bangkok in Thailand from the 28th to 29th August. The Secretariat consists of Fr. Edward Raju,( Bangalore) as the chairperson, Fr. David Hore (Region of Colomb) as secretary, Fr. Ole (Thailand) the Conference Co-ordinator Fr. Jovencio Ma, Deacon Duan (Oceania) the Treasurer of the Conference and Fr. Ivel Mendanha, (Majella) member of the Conference Council. The Secretariat discussed various policies regarding investment, fund raising, budgets, and management of the finances of the Conference.
The Conference Council met from the 30th to the 1st September in MInburi, Bangkok in Thailand (Fr. Jovencio Ma, Co-ordinator, Fr. Sebastian General Consultor, Fr. Ivel Mendanha, Fr. John Hodgson, and Fr. Marcario Rio.
The council had a number of items on its agenda most importantly to discuss the Draft plan of the Commission for Apostolic and Restructuring Plan, as well as set the Agenda and details for the forth coming Assembly of the Conference which will be in MInburi in Thailand from the 8th to 12th October this year.
The Council was very grateful to the Province of Thailand for their generosity in hosting both meetings in particular Fr Apisit the Provincial and the Rector of MInburi
