(Harare, Zimbabwe) On 16th of October 2018, the Redemptorists of the Region of Zimbabwe witnessed the vestition of six novices from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique who are in the common novitiate based in Harare, Zimbabwe. These who joined the novitiate on the 17th of July 2018 are Br Keotshepile Berry Muthulwe of the South African Province, Br Benedito Artur Pacule from the Mission in Mozambique and the Zimbabwean novices namely, Br Bazel Mudyahoto (Kwekwe, Gweru Diocese), Br Oscar Madzonganyika (Mt Darwin, Chinhoyi Diocese), Br Eric S Makova (Gutu, Masvingo Diocese) and Br Celestino M Magwenzi (Hwedza, Archdiocese of Harare). The whole novitiate programme is expected to end in the middle of July next year.

The beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help novitiate was attended by Br Benjamin Posvo our regional leader and several other Redemptorists. Fr Victor Bushu, the socius novice master preached very well encouraging the young men to persevere and remain focused. Since it was also the feast of St Gerard Majella Fr Bushu told the novices that Brother Majella achieved sainthood at a tender age and did not require many years to do so. He said the young men could also achieve many great things in their moral and faith lives as well without needing lots of time.
