(Nigeria) The Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Nigeria held her Annual National Convention at the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Enugu, Nigeria, from the 2nd-4th November 2018.

The theme for this year’s Convention was ‘Convention of the Most Holy Rosary’.
It was a spirit filled one as Archbishop Augustine Obiora Akubeze (the Metropolitan Archbishop of Benin City and the President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria) was the chief celebrant at the occasion. However, the chief host was the Vice Provincial Superior of the Redemptorist Vice Province of Nigeria, Very Rev. Fr. Joterio Joachim A. Aghoja, C.Ss.R.

The celebration: It is an Annual National Pilgrimage of all the members of the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Nigeria to the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ugwogo Nike, Enugu, served by the Redemptorists in the Vice Province, located in the eastern part of Nigeria (Enugu diocese).

It comprised members of the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help from 28 Archdioceses and Dioceses in Nigeria, who were represented at the Convention; an estimated number of over 10,000 members were in attendance. The outcome of the celebration produced a joyous and faith-filled atmosphere. Program of activities included Confessions, counselling, Rosary processions, Dance parade, Convention talks, etc.
