(Harare, Zimbabwe) On the 9th of November 2018, the Redemptorist Region of Zimbabwe together with the Redemptorist lay associates and lay collaborators had a colourful celebration of the Congregation’s 286 years of existence. The mass, which was celebrated by the head of Lay associates and collaborators, Fr Joseph Musendami, C.Ss.R., was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in the suburb of Mabvuku. The event was not only a commemoration of the long history of the Redemptorists but a witness to the growing relationship between Redemptorists and the laity. Indeed, the larger part of this occasion was organised by loyal and dedicated lay people in the parishes that we serve.
