(Warsaw, Poland) All the churches, communities and institutions of the Redemptorist Province of Warsaw celebrate the year of Saint Gerard Majella from 1st January to 31st December 2019.

Through various events, pastoral initiatives, and publications we want to make the faithful know about our holy brother, who is venerated as the patron of mothers who await the birth of a child and defend marriages by asking for the gift of their offspring. He is also the patron of a good confession.

Father Sylwester Cabała, C.Ss.R., in an interview with Radio Maryja in the “News of the day” program gave a closer look at the life and spiritual profile of St. Gerard Majella on January 2 this year. He also mentioned the efforts being made to start and to revive the cult of Saint Gerard among the groups of the faithful.

Saint Gerard Majella (1726-1755), is a Redemptorist charismatic brother. His faithful life abounded in many miracles and extraordinary events. He overcame difficult situations simply by trusting in Christ and led people to discover the love of God.
