(Lubaszowa, Poland) – The turn of January and February is the time of winter holidays at schools in Poland. On this occasion the Polish Redemptorists Center for Vocations Ministry organizes every year “Holidays with the Redemptorists”.
On various dates, adjusted to different parts of the country, there were three series of vocational retreats, at which in total 66 boys from Poland and Belarus participated. Two series took place in Lubaszowa, one in Bardo. They were led by our fathers: Przemysław Ilski CSsR – a missionary from Lublin, Tymoteusz Macioszek, CSsR – a youth pastoral leader from Szczecinek and Valery Maziuk, CSsR – a missionary from Belarus.
As always, the retreat turned out to be a great experience for the boys, as evidence it stories of the participants placed on the vocational webpage. The meeting leaders shared their testimonies of life and vocation with the participants and indicated how to listen and discover God’s will in life. There was plenty of time for personal reflection and for conversations with brothers, postulants in Bardo, or novices in Lubaszowa. The participants of the retreat best recalled exactly those moments.
In our free time, we also enjoyed the charms of Bardo or Lubaszowa, hiking on nearby hills and visiting the surroundings. We would like to thank the Confreres who led these retreats, the hosts of the places we visited and all who encouraged and sent the boys from their pastoral ministries.
