(BacKan, Vietnam) As many as 51 H’mong brothers and sisters were baptized and confirmed by Most Rev. Rev Cosma Hoang Van Dat, bishop of BacNinh diocese on 5th May, the third Sunday of Easter in the mission area NA PHAC.

NA PHAC is the evangelization of BacNinh diocese. It is entrusted to the Redemptorists to take care of the spiritual needs and the overall development of the Mission. During recent years, many brothers and sisters of indigenous ethnics such as H’mong and Dao have received the faith to become God’s children and the members of the Church.

Last year most Rev. Bishop Cosma and Rev. Fr. Fabrizio Meroni General Secretary of the Pontifical Missionary Union baptized 60 indigenous people at this center.

NA PHAC is located around 200 Kms from HANOI. Fr. Joseph Nguyen Nang Tinh C.Ss.R was installed as the chaplain of this mission area on 25 April 2011. At that time, there was no land, no church, even house for Fr. Joseph, the newly ordained priest.

Time went on and eventually, the mission center was established as the result of God’s grace and the protection and support of BacNinh diocese and the generosity of the benefactors.

At present, a new church is being built to cope with the development of evangelization center. This is also the first church built after the year 1954 when the communists took over North Vietnam.
