(Manila, Philippines) After 27 years, the Baclaran Icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help was brought down for the repair of the altar last September 5, 2019 (Thursday). This occasion is also symbolic as it allowed our Mother to come down from the high altar and be closer to all her devotee-missionaries and her children. On September 7 (Saturday), 10 (Tuesday), 28 (Saturday) and November 26 (Tuesday), there were thousands of devotees who lined up for hours to pay homage and kiss Her to experience the closeness of the Mother’s love. They also prayerfully carried with them their own pictures/icons and had them touch the Baclaran Icon as a form of veneration and God’s blessings in families and in their homes.
Today, November 27 (Wednesday), is the re-enthronement of Baclaran Icon during the 10:45 am Novena-Mass. May God continue to bless all the faithful in and through the intercession of the Mother of Perpetual Help.
