(Kandy, Sri Lanka) On Sunday, 15 th March, the Redemptorist Confreres in Kandy officially inaugurated the Jubilee Year. There was a concelebrated Solemn high Mass of St. Clement at the Shrine of Mother of Perpetual Help, presided by Fr. Shanthy Abeyasingha C.Ss.R. In his homily Fr. George Puthenpura C.Ss.R. highlighted St. Clement as a pilgrim of faith and a missionary par excellence. St. Clement can inspire us to preach the Gospel ever anew even in our present troubled times with the Covid 19 Corona virus infection. Rooted in our own faith experiences we need to instil hope in our people who are becoming panicky and paranoid. The congregation thanked us for the message about this great saint. The celebration concluded with a community gathering and fellowship meal.
