(Bonn, Germany) The sending out service of our prospective volunteers took place in the monastery church in Bonn on August 14, 2020.
Father Jürgen Langer, Mr. André Latz, and the prospective volunteers from our RVM project prepared this service. Father Ludger Wolfert, representative of the Province of St. Clement and Rector of the Redemptorist Monastery in Bonn was invited as the main celebrant. Due to the Corona pandemic, only close friends and family members of the volunteers could participate. But then we were able to celebrate anyway under the strict hygienic and medical measures.
The 15 selected Redemptorist volunteers will, as soon as it is possible to leave, be active in various Redemptorist communities around the world in the areas of education and social work. They will be based in Sumba, Indonesia (2), Lima, Peru (2), Cordoba, Argentina (1), Cork, Ireland (2), Belfast, Northern Ireland (1), Asunción, Paraguay (1), Philadelphia, USA (2), Toronto, Canada (2) and Pattaya, Thailand (2). Most of our prospective volunteers – eleven in all – have attended Collegium Josephinum Bonn, the school of the Redemptorists.”
For them, RVM will be living globalization, linking young adults and Redemptorist communities around the world, and offering the unique opportunity to become socially involved in a Christian environment.
We wish our RMV volunteers a good start and much success in their various assignments.
