Central America welcomes a new professed: David Alexander Delgado Castro. He is a Salvadoran who, after a time of formation, has been able to profess his first vows as a religious of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer on February 2, 2022, at the Perpetual Help Parish in San Salvador.
Fr. Jesús María Rojas Quesada, Provincial Superior, presided over the celebration and invited reflection during the sermon with these words on the feast of Consecrated Life:
“Who is a religious? Someone who has put his heart in that person who has changed my life, my work, my history, my ideals, my dreams. That is religious life… Everyone at some point in life has and feels an attraction for something, for someone. We religious profoundly feel this attraction so that we leave our family, our work, our country, and we place ourselves at God’s disposal.
For Redemptorists, for religious who wish to share this life mission, it is necessary to assume three attitudes: poverty, chastity and obedience. This will be the language with which my life will speak to the world”, said Father Rojas Quesada.
