Honduras receives a new professed Redemptorist: Jarel Antonio Rodríguez Sánchez. Jarel Antonio is Honduran. He did his novitiate in Tiete, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Saturday, February 5, 2022. He made his first vows as a religious missionary of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer in the Parish of Los Dolores, Tegucigalpa-Honduras.
The celebration took place in a family atmosphere due to the high rates of contagion of COVID-19. There were present his parents. Fr. Alex Franklin Hernández Ochoa, the vicar provincial and pastor, was delegated to preside over the celebration and receive the Religious Profession. Frs. Rubén Moncada, David Nicolás Cáceres Sánchez and José Manuel Batres Orellana were concelebrants.
Fr. Alex Franklin, in his sermon, highlighted the following: “Consecrated life is a gift that God presented to the Church. But religious life is also a call to encounter and the gift of self to others. It is a way of finding happiness in continuous service. God is the author and your point of reference in your vocation. Today, the Church receives you as a professed brother in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer”.
We congratulate Jarel Antonio his first profession and wish him abundant blessings in his life as a Redemptorist missionary.
