In the second week of March, various formative, pastoral, and administrative meetings took place in the Provincial House. It is customary for the local superiors, treasurers, and parish priests of each of the missionary works of the Congregation to meet every year in Colombia.
The meeting of the superiors of the Redemptorist houses took place on 7 and 8 March. The first day there was a seminar cum spiritual retreat with Dr Ismael Rolón, who reflected on the experience of leadership of the Redemptorist Spirituality. On the second day, the Provincial Superior presented the Provincial Apostolic Plan and its perspectives from the pastoral care of the family. In the same way, the progress of the reconfiguration process of the future Unit was initiated.
On Wednesday 9th of March, the parish priests shared the spirituality of the parish. The Redemptorist pastors worked on pastoral guidelines for parish animation. The presentations by Fathers Leiner Castaño and Edward Chacón were enriching.
On Thursday 10th and Friday 11th of March, the treasurers of the local Redemptorist communities, the superiors and the parish priests held training seminars on the legal, administrative, security and financial aspects oriented by the Provincial authorities with the advice of experts on the subject.
Likewise, the meetings were a space for strengthening fraternity and community life. Health safety protocols were developed and adhered to by the participants. Finally, we invite our friends and lay faithful to pray for the evangelizing work of the Redemptorists of Colombia. May the Lord bless the missionary work of Colombia.
