Perpetual Profession and Diaconate of Brother Robério Santana

The Redemptorist Province of São Paulo, together with the whole Church, celebrated on the evening of Friday, March 11, the Perpetual Profession of Brother Robério Santana de Lima. The young man made his perpetual vows at 6 pm in the Chapel of St Alphonse Seminary in Aparecida (SP). The celebration was followed on Facebook and YouTube of the Redemptorist Province of São Paulo.

The celebration of the diaconate ordination took place at 6 pm on Saturday, March 12, at the Central Altar of the National Shrine and was broadcast live on TV Aparecida, Radio Aparecida and Aparecida App. The celebration was presided over by the Bishop of Pesqueira (PE), Dom José Luiz Ferreira Salles and concelebrated by the Redemptorist Provincial Superior of the Unity of Sao Paulo, Father Marlos Aurélio da Silva, as well as several other confreres of the Congregation.

Deacon Robério said that he feels a feeling of deep gratitude at this extraordinary moment: “During these days I have remembered the journey I have made so far, the challenges and joys I have experienced. I am grateful to God for being so good to me and supporting this beautiful journey towards the definitive ‘yes’. Deacon Robério also said that the feeling is one of joy and hope. “I feel that God’s grace pushes me into ‘deeper waters’,” he said.

Perpetual Profession and Diaconate of Brother Alysonn Diego

On the morning of March 12, in Recife, Brazil, the Eucharistic celebration took place in which Fr. Alysonn Diego made his perpetual religious profession.

It was a day of great jubilation for the Redemptorist Vice-Province of Recife. In the evening, Brother Alysonn Diego was ordained deacon, with the prayer of the people of God and the laying on of hands by the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Olinda and Recife, Dom Antônio Limacêdo.
