(Chinauta, Colombia) From the 1st to the 4th of July in the retreat house of Villa Marianella, the 9th congress of delegates of the Redemptorist Youth Vocational Pastoral took place. It was attended by 14 young people representing some Redemptorist communities in the country and the participation of two seminarians and three priests in charge of this ministry. The presence of Father Provincial Luis Carlos Jaime, who presided at the opening Eucharist and encouraged us to continue working in this vital field, was highly appreciated.
This meeting aimed to listen to the experiences of each of the youth communities and to illuminate these realities with the apostolic exhortation Christus Vivit. It was also an opportunity to project the dynamics of this ministry and to make real commitments to strengthen the Redemptorist youth communities in Colombia. The theme of the meeting was: “Courageous young people, to mission the present”.
We thank the communities who sent their delegates to the meeting, and we continue to encourage them to work in this ministry since young people have much to contribute to the apostolate of the Church.
