Today on November 9, 2022, to coincide with the 290th anniversary of the founding of our congregation, we celebrated a family day in the Mission. It was an opportunity for families to come together, share and strengthen each other.
The Family Day eucharistic celebration was led by Fr. Paul Nuho Kelen, C.Ss.R, the spiritual director for couples in the mission and Fr. Lorens Lengari, CSsR, the mission leader in Kilimbatu. All liturgical duties are the responsibility of the married couple. The liturgy is more lively with traditional dances by married couples.
On this occasion, the husbands and wives renew their marriage vows. At the same time, children also express obedience to their parents.
In addition, this celebration is also marked by baptism and the blessing of marriage.
After the eucharistic celebration, the family day continued with fellowship and a night of joy. Each family shared food. Everyone enjoyed the day.
Fr. Willy Pala, C.Ss.R.
