The Holy Father has appointed Fr. Álvaro Mon Pérez, C.Ss.R., until now Chaplain of the Colegio Seminario Redentorista San Clemente in Manizales as Vicar Apostolic of Puerto Carreño (Colombia).

Curriculum vitae
Rev. Fr. Álvaro Mon Peréz, C.Ss.R., was born on 7 June 1962 in Corrales, Colombia. After his novitiate in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, he made his first profession on 5 January 1992. Having completed his studies in philosophy and theology, he took his perpetual vows on 31 July 1998 and was ordained a priest on 30 January 1999.

Fr. Álvaro Mon Pérez has held the following positions: Member of the Missionary Group of Bucaramanga (1999); Parish Priest, Vicar of Religious and Community Superior in the Apostolic Vicariate of Reyes, Bolivia (2000-2005); Member of the Missionary Group of Sogamoso (2005); Member of the Missionary Group of Cali, Colombia, and Bursar of the Community (2006-2010); Provincial Consultor (2011); Member of the Missionary Group of Bogotá (2011-2015); Parish Priest in Sincelejo (2016-2018); until now he has been Chaplain of the Colegio Seminario Redentorista San Clemente in Manizales.
