(India) The XVIII Provincial Chapter of the Bangalore Province was held at Nava Spoorthi Kendra, Bangalore from 12-20 April 2023. Prior to the Provincial Chapter, all the Capitulars attended a day of Prayer and Recollection on 11 April 2023. Fr. Jossie SJ guided the Capitulars in the process of reflection. He spoke about the current Political and Social Trends in India; how they shape and direct our lives as missionaries of Hope in the footsteps of the Redeemer.
The Celebration of the Chapter began with the Inaugural Eucharist by Fr. Edward our Provincial Superior and in his homily, he stressed the aspect of how we can be the Missionaries of Hope in our Indian Context by being open to the current signs and situations of our country and bringing the Gospel to the poor and the most abandoned.

The Chapter dealt with various matters pertaining to the life and mission of Bangalore Province. We also engaged in dialogue and discussion as to how we shall go forward in being the Missionaries of Hope in the footsteps of our Redeemer to the people whom we serve especially the most abandoned poor.
We were privileged to have the Presence of Fr. Ben Ma C.Ss.R. the Asia Oceania Conference Coordinator during the Chapter and it was very enriching. We also had the opportunity to have the presence of Fr. Noël Sottima, C.Ss.R. the Africa Madagascar Conference Coordinator for the chapter.
We thank God for the very fraternal spirit that enabled the chapter to be a process of discernment and forward-looking.
