On 12 June, in Lublin (Poland), two Redemptorists of the Province of Warsaw completed their two-year formation in the Pastoral Tirocinium. They received a missionary cross and a blessing for their ministry from the hands of Fr. Dariusz Paszyński CSsR, Superior of the Province.

Fathers Dymitr Łabkow CSsR and Marek Krzyżkowski CSsR have been preparing for the Redemptorist missionary ministry for the past two years through intensive study and pastoral and retreat experience.

In his homily addressing the new missionaries, Fr. Provincial stressed that the model of every missionary is Jesus Christ himself, as preaching the Word of God requires self-denial, prayer and a disposition to suffer. Fr Dariusz paraphrased Jesus’ call to Peter, “Feed my sheep”, as a readiness to make sacrifices – “Be ready to suffer for my sheep”.

On the same day, Rev. Canon Marian Bartnik was received into the oblates of the Redemptorist Congregation. As an oblate, he was embraced by the prayers of Redemptorists and included in the spiritual goods of the Congregation acquired through prayers and apostolic works.
