(India) The Advent Youth Retreat at St. Michael’s Church, Taligao, Goa was a resounding success, filled with the vibrant energy of young hearts eager to experience the Lord in preparation for Christmas on 10th December. The theme of the retreat was, “ Embrace Advent with Open Hearts.” With openness, zeal, and a thirst for deeper faith, participants delved into various aspects of their Catholic faith, explored conscience formation, and discovered their true worth as beloved children of God.
Throughout the retreat conducted by the Redemptorist Youth mission team, engaging activities and insightful discussions guided the youth towards reflection on themes of faith, service, and personal growth. They learned to see themselves as vessels of God’s love, empowered to make positive choices and contribute meaningfully to their communities. The retreat culminated in a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for the approaching Christmas celebration, a time to celebrate the birth of the one who came to bring light and hope to the world.
