On Tuesday, February 27, Redemptorists from all five monasteries of the Viceprovince met in Michalovce. It is customary that such a meeting is organized once a year. Within the program, they listened to two lectures by the guest, the Bible scholar Fr. Milan Diheneščíka Ph.D. Then they prayed with the faithful in Basilica, the Shrine of blessed Dominic Trčka. Finally, as they gathered at the lunch table, they shared their experiences and talked about the challenges they had to face.
Among the participants of the Formation Day were also two bishops: Msgr Milan Chautur CSsR and Msgr Marián Andrej Pacák CSsR. The invitation to participate was also accepted by two confreres from Bratislava-Prague Province, Fr. Joseph Mihok CSsR, provincial superior and Fr. Artur Bylik CSsR.
Part of the day was also a celebration of the birthdays of several confreres born in February and March. Archbishop and Metropolitan of Prešov Jonáš Maxim and Archbishop of Košice Cyril Vasil SJ also joined the congratulations. The round jubilee of 40 years celebrated also the vice-provincial superior Fr. Miroslav Bujdoš CSsR. We also commemorated the anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Msgr Milan Chautur CSsR, the day of his appointment to the episcopal ministry in the Exarchate of Košice.
