Pope Francis, during the Angelus on the 10th of March, shared his concern about the situation in Haiti and invited all the faithful to pray for peace from St. Peter’s Square, Rome.
In the previous article as mentioned by Father Renold Antoine, CSsR, about the difficult situation in Haiti where the Redemptorists are present. He urged the people to pray for peace and to end the violence in his country, where criminal groups sow terror and panic among the people.
Pope Francis offers special prayers for the people of Haiti suffering due to continuing violence, while remembering the people of other nations such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ukraine and the Holy Land. He said, “I invite you to pray, through the intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, for an end to all violence and for everyone to offer their contribution to the growth of peace and reconciliation in the country, with the renewed support of the international community.”
We offer all our concerns and needs for a peaceful and united country of Haiti through the intercession of our Mother of Perpetual Help. May the people work for peace amidst all odds.
