Prayer group with Fr. Andrzej Laskosz, Rector of the sanctuary

On April 10, 2024, at the Sanctuary of the BVM Star of the New Evangelization and of Saint John Paul II in Toruń, a new community of people was formed at the initiative of lay people who wished to pray for the miracle necessary for the beatification of the Servant of God Fr. Bernard Łubieński, the Redemptorist.

In our sanctuary there are about 160 relics of saints. We asked for some and waited a long time for their arrival. Other saints have come to us unexpectedly, bringing with them the beautiful story of a life dedicated to God. Each saint has his own message and his own path to holiness.

In the presbytery, there is an image of the Redemptorist, the Servant of God, Fr. Bernard Lubienski. Some people who went to the shrine pointed out that he had not yet been proclaimed a saint and that he needed to be helped on his way to the altars by prayer. Thus, on the initiative of some lay people, a new community of people who wish to pray for the miracle necessary for the beatification of the Servant of God Father Bernardo Łubieński was founded on April 10, 2024, at our Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Star of the New Evangelization and Saint John Paul II in Toruń. Don Andrzej Laskosz, the custodian of the sanctuary, became the guardian of the community.

The community, made up of 20 people, will meet every 10th of the month to pray together. They will participate in the Rosary and the Holy Mass for the intention of the imminent beatification of Father Bernard Łubieński and to ask for a miracle, and they will familiarize themselves with the figure of the Redemptorist through the Apostle of Poland bulletin.

The 10th of the month, in reference to the day of Father Bernard Lubienski’s passage to eternity (10 September 1933), was defined in the Province of Warsaw as a day of prayer for the beatification of the Servant of God.
