On 26 April, the meeting of the students of the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Province took place in Sapopemba, in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, with the Superior General, Father Rogério Gomes, CSsR.
For the students who are studying theology, it was an important moment in their vocational journey. With words of hope, motivation and spirit, the general encouraged the young people to stand firm, and strong in their Redemptorist vocation.
Fr. Rogério Gomes spoke about the latest communicanda of the General Government, entitled “You are the light of the world (Mt 5:14).” He also mentioned the decreasing number of vocations in our congregation, which is evident throughout the world.
Father General underlined the importance of ongoing formation, which is a continuous process in the life of a Redemptorist. He also spoke about the need to study foreign languages. He encouraged the young students to carry out their mission and give their best.
The meeting concluded with a Holy Mass presided over by Father General. Afterwards, everyone gathered for a fellowship meal in the parish hall.
