On Sunday, 19 May 2024, the Solemnity of Pentecost, God blessed our Province of Brasilia with the Diaconate Ordination of two young Redemptorist Missionaries.

At 3 a.m. Brasilia time, 8 a.m. local time, in the Mother Church of Christ the King, in Furancungo, Mozambique, the Deacon Ordination of the young men Antônio Vinícius and Raul Jackson took place.

The celebration was presided over by the Bishop of Tete, Dom Diamantino Guapo, IMC, and was attended by other confreres of the Redemptorist Community of Santa Maria do Monte, religious sisters, priests of the diocesan clergy and the people of God.

The Mass was marked by dances and many songs, giving the moment a tone of joy and thanksgiving. Let us now pray for the diaconal ministry of these confreres, that they may genuinely be servants and proclaimers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Congratulations, confreres!

Deacon Raul Jackson, CSsR.
Deacon Murilo, CSsR, Communications Officer.
