From 21 May to 25 May, a workshop is being held in Trois Épis (France) entitled: “The Gospel. Administration and Financial Management”. There are fifteen participants from different units of the Conference of Europe, mainly Spanish and Italian speakers. The workshop is led by the General Treasurer, Father Vicente Soria Fleitas and Javier Poveda, a lay economist from Spain.
This workshop is in response to the decision of the XXV General Chapter, which asked each conference to organise it with the help of financial experts. The material being studied is the administration and finance manual of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
It is important to remember that the Congregation exercises its mission worldwide in the midst of very diverse cultural, social, economic, and legal environments. To respond to this reality, the Manual on Administration and Financial Management proposes general administration objectives, basic principles of financial management, and administrative systems that are broad enough to cover most of the situations we encounter.
