For the past 20 years, churches in the City Centre of Vienna have invited visitors to come to Lange Nacht der Kirchen (Long Night of the Churches), an evening of free music, speech and drama.
Our church, Maria am Gestade, had on Friday, 7 June, a full program of events lasting the whole evening until past midnight.
In cooperation with our friends and neighbours at the Polish Cultural Institute, we were delighted to welcome Fr Maciej Sadowski CSsR from the Warsaw Province to speak about the live and work of St Clement in Warsaw.
He was accompanied by an ensemble from the Diocesan Church Music Conservatorium, under the direction of Michał Kucharko.
Three of our Oblates also presented St Alphonsus and the music from his time.
