Rejoicing in New Commitments: A Joyous Profession Ceremony

The hallowed halls of our community of St John Neumann at Kunnambetta in Kerala in the Province of Liguori in Kerala India, the Common Novitiate for the 3 Units of India recently witnessed a momentous occasion as six novices Athipatla Maria Prasanth, Enaganti Sumanth (Jo Paschal), Medikonda Aalai Mario Jo (Pio), Denny Lion Maleane, Michael Pereira, and Sumit Mane solemnly professed their vows, embarking on a sacred journey of service and devotion. The ceremony, held on 31/05/2024, was a resplendent celebration of faith, unity, and unwavering commitment.

Among the newly professed were three bright spirits from the Province of Bangalore and three radiant souls from the Vice-Province of Majella. Their paths converged in a harmonious chorus of dedication, symbolizing the unbreakable bond that transcends geographical boundaries.

The esteemed Fr. Edward Joseph C.Ss.R., the Provincial of Bangalore Province presided over the Eucharistic celebration along with Fr. Poly Kannampuzha, Provincial of Liguori Province, and Fr. Henry Fernandes Vice- Provincial of the Vice-Province of Majella, whose profound words and blessings ushered the novices into their new roles as consecrated members of our community. Fr. Henry, with his eloquent homily, illuminated the depths of the sacred vows, inspiring all present to embrace the virtues of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

The hallowed sanctuary was graced by the presence of confreres from all three units of Bangalore, Liguori and Majella, their spirits united in a tapestry of support and fraternal love. The joyous occasion was a poignant reminder of the enduring strength that lies in our unity, a testament to the enduring legacy of our community.

As the newly professed confreres embarked on their sacred journey, the air was thick with a palpable sense of hope and determination. Their commitment to walk the path of service and self-sacrifice was a shining beacon, inspiring us all to rededicate ourselves to the noble ideals that guide our communities.

The day also marked the beginning of the novitiate of 5 young men: 1 from the Province of Bangalore, 2 from the Province of Liguori and 2 from the Vice Province of Majella. They have just commenced their journey as novices under the guidance of Fr George Mathew, C.SsR. the Novice Master and Fr Binu the Socius.

In this season of celebration, let us rejoice in the bountiful harvest of faith and perseverance. May the professed find solace and strength in the unwavering support of our community, and may their unwavering dedication serve as a guiding light for generations to come.
