With the motto: “Encouraged by the Eucharist and prayer, as children of Mary, we share the mission,” in the province of Salta we lived, vibrated and celebrated the novena from Friday, June 28 to July 6 and a feast in honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Gaucha Virgin, on Sunday, July 7.

This year, accompanied by Fr. Miguel Ángel (Miky) Pollano, CSsR, as the main preacher, we celebrated this time of celebration and grace together with Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help.

With prayer and the Eucharist as the central axis of liturgy, we have filled our hearts and spirits, while Pope Francis asks us to prepare for the Jubilee Year 2025 and also to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the National Eucharistic Congress held in Salta in 1974.

Like every year, pilgrims from the interior of the province of Salta, from the puna, the valleys and the outskirts of the city; as well as those who came from other provinces; They were the ones who decorated the Sanctuary of the Virgin Gaucha (as the Virgin of Perpetual Help is also known in this region). The presence of these devotees, with their prayers, songs and tears for requests that only the Mother knows, are them, the little ones of God, who gave their lives and at the same time sanctified this Sanctuary of Northern Argentina.

Once again, under the attentive and maternal gaze of María, we were able to be present at one of the most important religious celebrations in this part of Argentina.

Thanks to the entire parish community who, together with the parish priest Javier Roldán, CSsR, and the entire religious community, knew how to prepare, welcome and accommodate all those who went to the sanctuary to be under the protective gaze of the Mother Gaucha.

May the Full of Grace continue to bless and encourage each of her children. Amen
