“Missionaries of Hope, in the footsteps of the Redeemer.”

From August 6 to 9 we conducted the first ongoing formation of our Unit. It was carried out online and lasted two hours, in the mornings. We believe that it was a positive experience and valued by those who attended, in terms of the contents provided and the space itself. It made it possible for most of the confreres of the Pedro Donders Province (Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay) to meet and discuss issues that concern, question and challenge us in our apostolic life.

The topics that were developed were:

  1. The importance of ongoing formation (Fr. Gerardo Hernandez, Executive Secretary for Initial and Ongoing Formation of the General Government).
  2. The complexity of today’s world and the call to live our mission with hope (Frs. Juan Pablo Roldán and Alfredo Reyna).
  3. Deciding in a world marked by great and rapid technological advances (Fr. Miguel Angel Martinez)
  4. Preventing abuse and creating a culture of care and good treatment (Fr. Carlos Pérez)

We value this space, and we think it is important to maintain and sustain it at least once a year.

We are aware of the multiple and diverse activities that we have to face in the communities where we live and work pastorally. But we also believe that these meetings will help us to continue to grow in fraternity and to get to know each other better.

Let us renew the Lord’s call to mission, living in fidelity to our consecration and committing ourselves to this ongoing formation.

Best regards
