Perpetual and Temporary professions and beginning of Novitiate in Kenyan Mission

On Saturday, 3rd of August 2024 the confreres and the faithful witnessed the temporary and perpetual professions at St. Alphonsus Redemptorists Community in Karen, Nairobi. 

The confreres were filled with joy as all participated the Perpetual Professions of Br. Fredrick Omondi Oyoko, C.Ss.R., and Br. Pius Juma Owino, C.Ss.R., and also the First Profession of our Brothers Samuel, Gabriel, James, Damasius, Gordon, Moses, and Francis. 

Fr. Edward Joseph Raju, C.Ss.R, the provincial superior of the Bangalore Province, was the main celebrant and received the vows of brothers. Our mission superior Fr. Titus Mutiku C.Ss.R, our provincial consultor Fr. Christopher, and all the confreres joined us in this special occasion. We thank Fr. Edward for his presence and constant support in our Kenyan Mission.

Congratulations to all our brothers on this momentous day!

On 5th August 2024, the initiation ceremony of the five postulants took place at the Novitiate House Kenyan Mission. The Novices (Bro. Ezekiel Mumo, Bro. Maxwell Onjara, Bro. Robert Ndunda, Bro. Joseph Wambua and Bro. Brian Oprong) entered the canonical phase of their formation before the temporary vows during the Inaugural Mass that took place at St. Alphonsus Clergy House – Kinungi Chapel led by Rev. Fr. Edward Joseph Raju, C.Ss.R. (Provincial Superior of Bangalore Province) and Concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Christopher C.Ss.R, the Provincial Consultor. Among the witnessing Priests present were; Rev. Fr. Titus Mutiku C.Ss.R – Mission Superior, Rev. Fr. Amar Bargh C.Ss.R., the Novice Master, Rev. Fr. Isaac Wanyoike C.Ss.R – Socius, Rev. Fr. Joseph Wabwire C.Ss.R., the Rector of St. Alphonsus Clergy House.

We thank the Lord for this Historical event and pray for the perseverance of the brothers who will begin to prepare themselves for the temporary vows next year.
