The confreres of the Province of Thailand organized the Assembly of the Congregation from July 29th to August 2, 2024, at the House of St. John Neumann (Min Buri). The main focus of this meeting was the importance of the mission, including the pastoral work of the Congregation and the relationships of the members in various dimensions. This made the meeting important, especially in reflecting, improving, and restoring the commitment to the spirit and missionary work of the Congregation at present.

The main topic of the Assembly was the improvement of the Provincial Statutes, which are like the pillars of the administration of the province. It provides guidelines for the operation and functioning of members and emphasizes the work in dimensions and contexts of society, communities, and areas with differences. It also has to consider the changes of time, the challenges of the present world and new opportunities that will make the work of the group most effective.

This process of improving the discipline is not just an adjustment of the administrative work but is also a consideration and awareness of the uniqueness of the work and pastoral of the Redemptorist Congregation, which is always connected and interacts as one between the members of the Congregation and people in the community and society. It also aims to ignite the blessing of the vocation of the Redemptorist members and to inspire all members to carry out the missionary spirit of the Congregation with honesty and enthusiasm in the manner of St. Alphonsus de Liguori, the founder of the Congregation.

Throughout this Assembly, we have received good cooperation from Fr. Yoakim Ndelo, C.Ss.R., Regional Coordinator for Asia-Oceania, Fr. Casimiro Kwon Ohsang, C.Ss.R., Prefect of South Korea, Fr. Chittaphon Plangklang, Provincial Prefect of Thailand, and members of the Redemptorist Congregation. It is hoped that this improvement of the ecclesiastical discipline will set a direction for work and practices in which all members participate and cooperate in carrying out the mission of the Congregation well.
