On October 16, the feast of Saint Gerard, our students entered the pre-postulancy in Fada N’Gourma, Burkina Faso. Indeed, after their spiritual preparation with Father Etienne OUEDRAOGO on the following of Christ, our students made their official entry into the pre-postulancy during the mass of October 16, presided over by Father Nobila Olivier SAWADOGO, Vice Provincial of West Africa. In total, 9 students from Burkina (1), Ghana (2), Benin (1), Togo (1), Cameroon (1) and Ivory Coast (3) entered the pre-postulate: -THIOMBIANO Nicolas, from the parish of Saint Pierre de Gayeri, Burkina Faso. KONE Nataha Olivier, from the parish of Saint Marc de Broukro, Ivory Coast. KOUAME K. Aristide, from Saint Bernadette Parish of Tiébissou, from the RCI. KOUADIO Arthur Wilfried, from Saint Bernadette parish of Tiébissou, from the RCI. KAKU KWANKYE Emmanuel Mary, from the parish of Saint Mary of Takoradi, Ghana. NAAYELA Joseph Pelpuo, from the Immaculate Conception parish of Kaleo, Ghana. , BOCO DEFODJI Bignon Berlus, from the parish of Saint Ambroise de Gah in Djougou, Benin. ZOTCHI Claudio, from Saint Augustin parish of Lomé, Togo. ABESSOLO Arsène Gabriel, from cathedral parish of Saints Anne and Joachim de Abolova, from Cameroon.
Monsignor Pierre Claver MALGO, the Bishop of the Fada N’Gourma diocese, graced us with his presence during this Eucharist. Alongside him were the Redemptorist brothers and the entire diocese. We express our gratitude to God for the ongoing call to young individuals within our congregation. Additionally, there were lay individuals and members of the NDPS Archconfraternity, as well as the Sisters of Saint Gerard, in attendance.
The gathering commenced at 6:00 p.m., concluding at 8:00 p.m. with expressions of gratitude from Father François-Xavier SAWADOGO, the head of the Saint Alphonse de Fada Community, for their attendance; from Father Nobila Olivier SAWADOGO, the Redemptorists of West Africa’s vice provincial, and Monsignor Pierre Claver MALGO. At its core, he conveyed his happiness in seeing our students progress into the pre-postulancy phase. He also extended congratulations and requested our prayers for the restoration of peace within our nation. The evening concluded with a sense of unity and fraternal sharing.
