On 5 January, the day the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer celebrates Saint John Neumann’s memorial, the Vocations Secretariat of the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Province kicked off Vocations Week 2025, which will last until 12 January.

The meetings are taking place in two different locations: in the Santo Afonso Seminary, in Aparecida (SP), under the guidance of Fr. Robson Araújo dos Santos, CSsR, and, under the guidance of Fr. Roberio Santana CSsR, in the Floresta Seminary, in Juiz de Fora (MG). This way, the meeting will be more convenient for the invited participants in the last stage of discerning one’s vocation before entering the seminary.

In Juiz de Fora, 19 young people attended the meeting, while in Aparecida, 33 qualified. During the year, the Redemptorist Vocations Secretariat accompanied all of them, and they participated in vocational meetings and retreats.

Thus, at the end of their vocational accompaniment, having shown a real interest in beginning their formative journey in the Redemptorist Congregation, they were invited to live days of intense experience of community life during Vocations Week.

With God’s grace, from February, many of these young people will be in one of the formation houses of the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Province to begin the formation process. They aim to become Redemptorist Missionaries in the future, bringing the Good News of the Gospel to the poorest and most abandoned of this world.

May St John Neumann and all the Redemptorist saints and blessed intercede for vocations.
