From 4 to 7 February 2025, the first meeting of the Redemptorists under 55 years of age of the Province of Europe south took place in Trois Epis (France). The Secretariat of Evangelization and the Youth Pastoral Commission, at the proposal of the Provincial Government, organized this meeting with the aim of getting to know each other better, sharing the apostolic life of the communities and laying the foundations for a common journey as a young Province.
The meeting was characterized by days of intense and joyful fraternity, proving to be a propitious occasion for discernment and comparison. Led by Don David and Teresa Valero of the AUTEM group (Instituto de Liderazgo Pastoral), the participants reflected and learnt, dreaming of “new heavens and a new earth” (Rev 21,1).
The deepening of dreams and desires, of the current reality, of identity and spirituality has made it possible to make a future “vision” of the missionary announcement in the new formed province. The working groups, in the perspective of synodality, have placed listening at the center, bringing out yearnings, hopes and opportunities.
The different geographical and linguistic areas represent new horizons that require the construction of true relationships to live the mission not as a simple task, but as a testimony of belonging to Christ, in a world that seems to go in the opposite direction.
May the Spirit guide us ever more closely in following the Redeemer.
