The Redemptorist Province of Indonesia recently experienced a profound loss with the passing of two beloved confreres, Fr. Sigfried Safe Amtonis, CSsR, and Fr. Wilfried Lienesch, CSsR, a former missionary in Indonesia. Yet, in the midst of sorrow, God continues to show His providence by raising up new laborers for His mission.
On January 31, 2025, joy filled the Redemptorist Province of Indonesia as six confreres—five scholastic brothers and one brother in perpetual vows—professed their final vows at St. Alphonsus Parish Church, Nandan, Yogyakarta. They are:
Br. Bertolomeus Rewa Sogen, CSsR.
Br. Juliant Pedro Claudio, CSsR.
Br. George Glinca Jung Tena, CSsR.
Br. Andreas Beda Asimu, CSsR.
Br. Sirilus Yosep R. Muda, CSsR.
Br. Eduard Gregorius B. Tapaona, CSsR.
The celebration was attended by confreres, family members, friends, and the faithful, all rejoicing in the grace of their religious vocation. After the Eucharistic celebration, a thanksgiving reception was held at the Scholasticate Community in Wisma Sang Penebus, where fellowship and joy became expressions of gratitude for this sacred commitment.
Congratulations to the brothers who have professed their perpetual vows! May they remain steadfast in their religious vocation and ever zealous in their apostolic mission.
May the Lord bless them and may the intercession of St. Alphonsus and all the saints of the Redemptorist Congregation accompany them always.
In Him there is Plentiful Redemption
Fr. Willy Ng Pala, CSsR.
