“And He called them to be with Him” (Mk. 3, 14)

From February 2 to 8, in the city of Trujillo, the Vocational Gathering of the Bolivia-Peru Province was held, which brought together ten young vocations from Capachica (Puno), Coracora (Ayacucho), Nasca, Lima and Piura.

During the six days, the young people who had been called had the opportunity to deepen their calling, share experiences and strengthen their spiritual life in a fraternal environment that promoted attentive listening and mutual accompaniment. The activity, organized by the Province, was a privileged time for the participants to reflect on the meaning of their lives and the mission that they feel God is inviting them to carry out in the Church.

The name of the meeting, “And He Called Them to Be with Him,” reflects Jesus’ invitation to the young people to live closer to Him, to enter a process of discernment, accompanied by constant prayer and reflection on the scriptures. These moments of meditation were fundamental for the young people to be able to deepen not only their vocational calling, but also the profound meaning of fraternity and community work.

The meeting was also an opportunity to strengthen religious identity and foster unity among young people from different regions, promoting a spirit of collaboration and mutual support. In addition to prayer and reflection activities, group dynamics and recreational moments were held that allowed participants to share experiences and strengthen bonds of friendship and brotherhood.

With a focus on spirituality and human formation, the gathering offered a propitious environment for the young people to feel the presence of God in their lives and reflect on the path that each one is called to follow. Throughout the days, there were moments of vocational deepening through talks, testimonies, and personal encounters with the trainers, who offered their accompaniment and spiritual guidance.

At the end of the meeting, the young people felt renewed and strengthened in their vocation, with their hearts full of gratitude and the commitment to continue responding to God’s call. This space was consolidated as a unique opportunity to share the joy of following Christ and to walk together in the search for the truth and the mission that God has for each one of them.

With this meeting, the Bolivia-Peru Province reaffirmed its commitment to vocational training and the accompaniment of young people, knowing that the future of the Church is in their hands and that, as the motto expresses, “Jesus calls you to be with Him” and share his mission.
