The diaconate Ordination of José Miguel Cabrera Torres CSsR was celebrated on Sunday, March 2 in the city of Carapeguá, in the Immaculate Conception of Mary Cathedral. Presented by Father Javier Machado CSsR, Redemptorist provincial of the Pedro Donders Province, the celebration of the diaconate ordination was presided over by Bishop Celestino Ocampo Gaona, bishop of the diocese of Carapeguá (Paraguay).
In his homily, Bishop Ocampo told José Miguel that the deacon is called to serve the community, a service following the example of Christ: spiritual service. A ministry of preaching and baptism. The mission of the diaconate ordination is the extension of the mission of Christ, a service for the common good. “You will have to announce the gospel as Jesus did,” said the Bishop of Carapeguá to José Miguel. “Live as a witness of the good and the Truth that come from the Holy Spirit.”
