Dear Redemptorist family!

With the missionary joy that embraced us at the beginning of 2020, we greet you in Jesus the Missionary. Through these lines, we want to share stories of redemption and mission at the end of this wonderful month of January. It was undoubtedly the beginning of the year with a marked missionary mysticism.

#Youth Mission: From January 6th to the 12th, we began our youth mission in the parish of San José, Cachi – Province of Salta, Northwest of Argentina, visiting long stretches in kilometres, travelling through great adventures typical of the geography of the Valleys, difficulty on the roads and poor cellular net signal coverage. The Good News of Jesus surpassed technology and renewed us in our passion for the mission. About sixty-five young missionaries participated, accompanied by advisors, brothers and priests from the communities of the province.

#CampaMission: With the motto “Who is the young man so that you may look at him”, from the 13th to the 17th January, we started the “Campaign – Mission” in the rural zone of Goya, (Paraje Tres Bocas). Together with a team of young people from the Buenos Aires region and from the parish of San Jacinto and San Roque, accompanied by religious moderators and lay people from Goya, we experienced a beautiful youth space, marked by the presence of adolescents and young people from various communities of the countryside. About 60 adolescents and young people participated. We celebrated the sowing that took place during these years in that place, the harvest was abundant. May the Holy Spirit continue to send us and commit us to this missionary focus.

#ENAR2020: “In the style of Mary, let us be influential in life”, was the motto that accompanied us during our ENAR 2020 (national encounter of adolescents), celebrated from 20/01 to 24/01. Together with about one hundred adolescents, we witnessed a youth ministry revitalized by the presence of Mary, on the occasion of the national Marian year. In the style of Mary, disciple and missionary, we entered into the mystery of our lives, with the desire to be evangelising influences, committing ourselves to go against the current and be protagonists in the Today of our history.

We entrust ourselves under the maternal Help of Mary, so that this national Marian Year may be an occasion to grow in discipleship and in the proclamation of the Good News to all creation, being Witnesses of the Redeemer, in solidarity for the mission in a wounded world.
