(Houston, Texas) Altogether eight Redemptorist students were professed from the Vice-Province of Extra-Patriam at Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Houston, Texas on 26th July. Three students professed their Perpetual Vows whereas five of them professed their First Vows. Very Rev. Peter Tuan Quang Bui, C.Ss.R, the Extra-Patriam Vice-Provincial was the main celebrant. In spite of the fear of Pandemic the confreres, family members, and friends celebrated the profession of the eight young Redemptorists.
Three of the newly professed were in the 2019-2020 North American Novitiate: Dai Ho, C.Ss.R. (2nd from left), Bao Tran, C.Ss.R. (2nd from right) and Vinh Nguyen, C.Ss.R. (right end).
Others pictured who also professed First Vows are John Baptist Minh Duc Nguyen, C.Ss.R. and Vincent Martin Tinh Tri Nguyen, C.Ss.R. Those who professed Final Vows were Vincent Gerard Thanh Van Vu, C.Ss.R., Joseph Louis Truong Xuan Nguyen, C.Ss.R. and Francis Xavier Loi Lam Nguyen, C.Ss.R.
We thank God for these young men who responded to God’s call and expressed their willingness to carry out the work of God by following the footsteps of St. Alphonsus Liguori in preaching and serving the poor and the most abandoned. May God bless their further studies and ministry.
